I remember playing downstairs at Neepawa and things were getting a little wild and we were throwing things and I got hit in the head with a piece of wood with a nail in it. I started bleeding profusely. Ai Kem happened to be downstairs cleaning up something and quickly grabbed a towel and applied pressure to my scalp. I was crying and panicking but she managed to stem the bleeding. I wonder what the outcome might have been if not for her quick action. I remember a woman that was devoted to her family. Anytime we went to visit, she had a child strapped to her back and she seemed like she was always in the kitchen. Rest in peace Ai Kem, you lived a long and productive life.
Love, Kerry

Being the youngest daughter... from the time I was born, up to the age of 12...I was really attached to my mom, it took me a long time to cut the umbilical cord. I was attached to my moms hip, pretty much I was mom's shadow anywhere she went I have to be there.

I remember when I had to make that decision, to let go...I had to grow up...to find my own...that didn't mean for me to not care...
I was always there for mom when she needed me...when mom was making dinner and mom was out of tomatoes, mom would ask me to go pick up tomatoes at the corner store.
I remember mom was always busy in the kitchen, mom was an amazing cook...always pleasing us with her cooking...mom was happy and proud knowing that we were flattering her on her cooking.
So many fond memories...I will share more on the day we really have say good bye...
My heart is heavy...I am sadden...I miss you so much already Mom....Rest in peace...
