Charlesena Maye Naish

April 1, 1920 -  July 4, 2018

NAISH, Charlesena (Ena) Maye (nee Dickson) April 1, 1920 – July 4, 2018
Ena passed away peacefully at Traditions Retirement Home in Oshawa in her 98th year. Born in Truro, Nova Scotia, which she always thought of as home, she married a serviceman who was stationed in Debert, Cecil Naish, and moved to Oshawa in 1946. She was a people person and loved to spend time with her family and friends. In her final years she was very grateful for the love and friendship that she shared with the staff and residents of Traditions. We are extremely thankful to all of them for their compassionate care. Ena was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Penninah Dickson, her beloved sisters Dorothy McColm (Douglas), Mary Sadler (David), and Thora Johnston (Warren). Ena will be remembered always and forever loved by her daughter Beverley Coe (Roy), grandchildren Stephen Coe (Robyn) and Melena Coe Bilous (Jarrett). She was a much loved G.G. to great grandchildren Grayden and Nyah Bilous and Mabel and Henry Coe. She will also be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Carol Sept in B.C. and her grandchildren David (Lynn), Erin and Andrew, and by great grandchildren Declan and Hudson Sept. She will also be forever in the hearts of her sister Ruby Matthews and her many nieces, nephews and friends. A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the R.S.McLaughlin Durham Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to THORNTON FUNERAL CENTRE (1200 Thornton Road, North, Oshawa 905 579-6787).

Dear Bev and family, we are sending love and prayers your way with all our hearts! Although we didn’t know your Mom, she must have been a kind, beautiful, loving woman and Mom because she brought you into this world! May God bless you all with peace and blessings during this difficult time!

Ena and mom both relocated to Oshawa from neighbouring towns in N.S. and were
friends for over 70 years. They passed just 5 months apart and had remained friends until their final years. I am grateful for their friendship which eventually led to ours Bev.
Ena was one classy lady, physically fit, active and a great socializer. She staunchly carried on independently after your dad died. Your mother daughter relationship, like mine with my mom was one of fun and great times together - like sisters. We both would do anything for our moms as they endured health problems with aging. Ena is at peace now. I will remember her fondly as a special lady. Love George and Pat

Treasure the memories you will always have of your Mom, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She will always be alive in your hearts, in your laughter and in the stories you tell of your lives together. She was truly blessed to have such a wonderful, caring and loving family and to be such a large part of your lives.
