It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Nolan Spence, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and father-in-law, who passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Berbice, Guyana, Charles attended Queen’s College and began his career with Cable and Wireless before immigrating to Canada, where he worked at Canada News Wire for 25 years. He was known for his integrity, strong work ethic, and warm, engaging nature.
Charles loved cooking, music, electronics, and spending time with family. He is survived by his loving wife Rita, his daughter Donna, his son-in-law Kris, and his grandchildren Nicholas and Lucas.

Charles will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
