In memory of

Charles Nelson Stephenson

December 1, 1935 -  July 15, 2025

Born in downtown Toronto on December 1st 1935, Charles passed away peacefully in his beloved and adopted home town of Oakville on July 15th 2025 at the age of 89. Charles was a devoted husband to his late wife Josephine and loving father to daughter Charlene. He was a caring and inspiring mentor to his grandson Ryan and would give the shirt off his back to any of us in need.

He was selfless, fun and had a zest for life that was unmatched. He felt passionately about his ancestral heritage, enjoying bagpipes, the rugged north and everything this province and country had to offer him. He was a postal worker, Habs fan, amateur hockey player and someone who admired greatly and appreciated the native peoples of this land.

All in all he was brave and a fighter, staying with us until it could no longer be. We'll forever be greatful for that and remember him for all he was to us, always. A celebration of life will be held by the family in the coming months. He will be dearly missed.

With a broken heart I sign this guestbook....I couldn't have asked for a better grandpa. Even though his joy and his light are elsewhere now, eventually we're all to be reunited. I love you and I'll miss you always.

Dad,
I can't believe I won't hear your voice again. Your spirit and will to live was strong unfortunately your body was not.
You no longer have to suffer in the hospital.
We will miss your silly sense of humour but now you can rest in peace and be reunited with your wife and family.
I know you will watch over Ryan & myself until we meet again.
Love, Charlene
