KNOWING CHARLENE HAS BEEN A PRIVILEGE. SHE WAS TALENTED IN PAINTING; SHE WAS A DAINTY LADY, ALWAYS SMILING, ALWAYS INTERESTED IN WHAT LIFE HAD TO OFFER, FULL OF LOVE FOR CALVIN, INTELLIGENT, LOVED NATURE AND ARRANGED FLOWERS TO MAKE THEM LOOK SO ELEGANT. CHARLENE TALKED ABOUT HER FAMILY PROUDLY AND BROUGHT SHEYLENE TO OUR ART GROUP. HER PASSING WAS FAR TOO SOON IN LIFE AND A TERRIBLE LOSS TO HER LOVING FAMILY. SHE WAS HUMBLE AND GENEROUS. SHE NEVER COMPLAINED ABOUT HER PAIN OR ILLNESS. I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU CHARLENE.
We are sorry to inform members that Charlene Ho passed away on November 14, 2017. Both she and her husband Calvin were members of the Horticultural Society for many years. She was a wonderful practical gardener.
Charlene volunteered in many activities and was an official photographer for the society. She helped with the Town Baskets & Barrels and had worked in the Day Care Garden at the Anglican Church. She also enjoyed Japanese flower arranging and took courses, entered flower competitions and won many prizes.
Charlene and her husband Calvin owned a computer business in Richmond Hill; they recently retired and sold the business. She was also a talented painter and instructed classes at their place of business.
Charlene & Calvin were very giving people who donated many lovely gifts to the Holiday Celebration over the years.
Our deepest sympathies are extended to Calvin and the family at this sad time. Charlene will be warmly remembered by many members of the Horticultural Society.
Very sorry to see you go. I feel sorry that we did not spent more time together. Will miss you. Hope you have a good future life.
Although we did not get together that often, you have been most hospitable when we were in Toronto. You have been most brave in fighting the illness. Every time we met you have been optimistic and pleasant.
We feel sorry that we did not have the opportunity to spent more time together. Hope you rest in peace.
Dear Calvin and family,
Please accept our deepest condolences as we share your pain during this sad time. We are grateful to have had the honour to have known Charlene and we're proud to have been able to call her our friend. Charlene was kind, compassionate and one of the most generous people we have known.
Although we may not understand why she left us so soon, we surely know that we will miss her very much and will remember that her life left us with memories that are too beautiful to forget.
As Henry Wadsworth Longfellow quoted "the heart like the mind has a memory, and in it are kept the most precious keepsakes ".
Rest in peace dear friend.
