In memory of

李陳秋太夫人 Chan Chau Lee

July 24, 1936 -  March 17, 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce 李陳秋 Chan Chau Lee, a devoted wife, loving mother and caring grandmother passed peacefully with her family by her side, on Sunday March 17 2019 at Markham Stouffville Hospital at the age of 83.

Predeceased by her loving husband Chuck Hee Lee in 2014. Survived by her daughters Sue, Peggy & Laura, sons-in law Francis, Freddy & Kenny, her loving grandchildren Justina, Daniel, Derek, Kelvin, Ivan, Timothy, Kimberly, granddaughter-in law Rona, and great grandson Dominic.

陳秋 Chan Chau displayed elegance and tenacity as she spent the majority of her adulthood balancing entrepreneurship and parenthood. She boldly decided to move to Toronto, Canada, leading her family into a search of a better life. Here is where she would also help raise several of her grandchildren.

She had a passion for singing Chinese Opera, practicing Tai Chi, cooking at countless family gatherings but her greatest pleasure was time spent with her grandchildren.

We will always be grateful for the many sacrifices she made for her family. Her greatest quality, was her strength and determination in being independent, that is what she will be forever remembered as. She will be missed dearly and cherished in our hearts forever.

Please join us in celebrating her life; Saturday March 30th, 2019, visitation is between 2:00pm to 3:00pm, funeral services begin at 3:00pm at Pine Hills Cemetery & Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Rd, Scarborough.
Messages of condolence are welcomed at www.mountpleasantgroup.com.

It was unfortunate that I never got to know her like a brother should, since we were never at the same place together for any significant amount of time...and not to mention the language barrier. But on the few occasions when we did meet,I felt the connection, but it was so hard for me to express my feelings. I can only wish that things were different then, but i can imagine what a wonderful human being she must have been.to those who have had the pleasure of being in her presence.

May her soul rest and May she be in heaven looking over her family. Her legacy lives on in her grandchildren of which I have had the pleasure of knowing Ivan and can see how extremely well he has been raised. Grand parents live in the hearts of their grand children forever.
