In memory of

Cesar Brum

July 11, 1940 -  December 6, 2019

Cesar Furtado Brum (born July 11, 1940) died peacefully on December 6, 2019, surrounded by family at Toronto General Hospital after a short battle with cancer. Beloved spouse for almost 54 years of Eulalia Brum. The most wonderful and caring father that a child could ask for to Margaret (Dean Gresdal), Mitchell (pre-deceased) and Nelson (Alina Lakovnik). Cherished grandfather to Rebecca, Faith, Alison, Devlin, Kiefer and Michael. Great-grandfather to Malcolm. Loving brother to Jaime, Sofia, Ines, Dionizio, Antonio, Daniel and Elias (all pre-deceased). Loyal brother-in-law and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him for his friendly demeanour and generous heart. Wherever he went, he always seemed to find someone he knew and would be met with a loud “Cesar!” He greeted everyone with a warm handshake and was well known as being “a nice guy” who you could always count on. He retired from Imperial Oil Limited after over 20 years of service.

A special thank you to the staff members at UHN Toronto General Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto for their expertise, professionalism and tender care of Cesar during this very difficult time. We are especially grateful for the exceptional and compassionate care of the General Internal Medicine (GIM) and Palliative teams during his final weeks spent at Toronto General Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Toronto General and Western Foundation or The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. Please visit www.thepmcf.ca or call 416-946-6560 or toll free at 1-866-224-6560.

Rest your kind soul. Your memory always brings a smile and a happy thought to me.
My last memory of you was the glimpse that I would get of you and your friends sitting together outside the Alcoha bakery almost daily as I rode my bike along Davenport to work.
You always waved back. Thank you
Isaura
