Cebert Alvin Salmon, affectionately called Butt, Roco, Sam, and Uncle Sam, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020 at Markham Stouffville Hospital. He was 82 years old.

He was the beloved husband of Pauline Jospehine Salmon nee Dawkins of 37 years and father to Marica Salmon, Ann Salmon, Sebert Salmon Jr., Sean Salmon, and father-in-law of Gale Salmon.

Proud grandpa to seven grandchildren - Kyle, Ryan, Kayla, Jaida, Kiera, Tia, and great-grandchild Lillian.

Fourth child of Medora and Augusta Salmon, of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica and survived by his brother Byron Salmon.

Uncle Sam was a man of great love for his family, friends, and neighbours. His home was open to all - including the birds and rabbits in the neighbourhood that visited him often.

He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Visitation and funeral service has been cancelled due to the current public health pandemic. A small graveside burial for immediate family will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Duffins Meadows Cemetery, 2505 Brock Road North, Pickering, ON L1V 2P8.

A memorial service will be held in the coming months to remember Uncle Sam and we extend our invitation to celebrate his life. More details to follow.
