I only got to meet Cate a couple times. It was easy to see how great she was, and her personality and sense of humour was infectious.
Although I never met Cate, she was ever present whenever I was with Anita. Our many United Bakers breakfasts were never complete without a story of Cate’s latest escapades and triumphs. She was a remarkable young woman who had a remarkably warm and wonderful relationship with her adoring mother. Her passing is an incomprehensible loss.
Dear Anita and Peter
I am thinking of you and Cate, and I was really touched by the lovely tribute to her, and the amazing photo! She was definitely a woman who loved life so this is so very tragic, and very hard too. Please take good care of yourselves, and know that I am feeling the terrible pain of your grief with love and sadness. I will try to be at the funeral but I am a fulltime caregiver on weekends, so I am making inquiries to see if I can be present. Know that I will be with you in spirit if I am unable to be present in person. Love and hugs Mary Jane
I am so sorry to hear the news about Cate. I had the pleasure of knowing Cate, mostly between 2007 and 2009 through summer camp and some hangouts with her group of friends. She was a bright and joyful presence. My thoughts are with her friends and family.
Dear Peter & Anita, we were so sorry to hear of Cate’s passing. Her photo truly conveys the energy, life and happiness she radiated to all who loved and knew her. We know you will carry her spirit and happy memories into the years ahead and we hope in time those memories will bring a sense of peace and healing. Sincere condolences
