In memory of

Catherine Ekaterini Goutos

November 17, 1937 -  April 11, 2024

After many hard-fought health battles, Ekaterini Goutos (Catherine/Cathy/Katina; nee: Polimenakos), could not bounce back once more; she passed peacefully on April 11th, 2024, at 12:42am. Ekaterini was the dearly cherished wife of Christos Goutos for 57 years, doting mother of Constantine (Gus) and Helen and loving mother-in-law of Tracey Goutos and Katie Baker. Ekaterini's absolute pride and joy though, her one and only granddaughter, Bridget Katelynn Ann Goutos. Ekaterini was born in Polovitsa, Sparta, Greece and arrived in Canada on August 6th, 1958. She will be fondly remembered by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing this one-of-a-kind woman.

Visitation will be held at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church (3125 Bayview Avenue, North York, ON) on Monday, April 15th, 2024, at 10am and immediately followed by the funeral service at 11am. The Goutos family requests the presence of family and friends at York Cemetery (160 Beecroft Road, North York, ON) for the interment at 12:30pm followed by a Makaria (Mercy meal) at the York Cemetery Funeral Centre.

We are grateful for the care Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre provided Ekaterini throughout the years and the peacefulness she was offered in her final moments. For those who wish, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in memory of Catherine are greatly appreciated.
