Dear Leslie, Ian and David
I am so sorry to hear of the recent passing of your beloved Mother, Cathy. She had a great smile and a great giggle. I always enjoyed our conversations at Bruce beach each year getting caught up and more recently I spent an afternoon with her a few years ago at The Donway Retirement residence where I worked when she was visiting a friend. I will miss her. Warm regards lots of love Lisa Hunter
Both your parents were always a great support to me. And Cathy was a great friend and birthday twin to Mum. I will miss her when I next come home
Dear Leslie, Ian and David,
I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was always very kind and generous to me. She and your Dad invited me to numerous weekends at their cottage and always made me feel most welcome. I had the pleasure of enjoying many delicious meals at your home in Don Mills. Your mother was always quick with a smile and laugh and seemed to enjoy her life with her wonderful husband and kids. I will remember her fondly.
Please accept our sincerest condolences on the loss of your Mom. So many residents here at Thompson House knew Cathy so well, for some of us we had the pleasure of working with her for 20 + years. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
To her children & grandchildren, I offer my deepest condolences. Having sponsored Ron into Beta Theta Pi, I met Cathy at many fraternity parties. Ron was Bus 54, I was Bus 55. We were close buds. Later, when I moved to Don Mills, I joined St. Marks because Don Collier, the new minister had been at Glenview Presbyterian as a kid with me. I became Chairman of the Board of Managers when the Sanctuary was built. So our lives intersected after UWO. Now, at age 86, I live in retirement in Belleville & think fondly of my college friends from the early 50's. RIP
