In memory of

Catherine Anne Davis

July 16, 1960 -  March 23, 2018

A special gift to those who met her has left us with very heavy hearts. Cathy, 57, passed away with family and friends by her side. Cathy succumbed to complications from radiation after brain tumour surgery last year. She always maintained a positive attitude even though she faced many hurdles.

Cathy was the eldest daughter of Lynn and the late Bill Davis. Sister to Wendy Davis and the late Patti Davis. Cathy also leaves behind cherished aunts and uncles, cousins and her nieces Taya and Halle Wall, her nephews Neil and Shawn Pattison and their families who held a very special place in her heart always. Another extremely important group of people were the Clear Lake families and friends who were a huge part of Cathy’s life. She spent close to 45 years with them creating many wonderful and fun memories. Cathy leaves behind valued friend and cousin Jacqui Copley and her “Newf” friend Wanda Cole. Sharon Hudson and Nick Moore were also an integral and loving part of Cathy’s life. None of them faltered in their support and love for Cathy. Lindsay Williams helped Cathy through many difficult times by offering her ways to cope.

Cathy worked hard all her life. She met her good friend Diane Galaski when working for the TD Bank. Then they worked for Verge Transportation. Cathy volunteered at Wychwood Open Door preparing and serving meals for the homeless. Cathy’s passions included time at the cottage, water skiing, road trips, reading, kayaking, baking, crafting, playing cards, her family and all her pets over the years. Cathy was known to start up conversations with people just because. Davis had an amazing smile, very infectious laugh and always had a positive attitude. We will miss Cathy who through all her struggles never gave up and always found a reason to laugh. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gord Downie fund for brain cancer research at Sunnybrook Hospital or the Alzheimer Society.

The world has lost a unique spirit.

Until we meet again Davis.
