It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Catalina Olaivar, 93, on September 9th, 2025, at Lakeridge Health Pickering Hospital.

Born in Samar, Philippines, on May 1st, 1932, Catalina was the beloved daughter of Pedro and Arcadia Lagahit. As she grew up, she was instilled with a strong connection to and love for her faith and carried that spirit throughout her life.

Catalina had a passion for cooking; she would make all kinds of dishes. She enjoyed taking care of her small convenience store, which she had started from an early age. Her love for her family and her community touched many lives, and her presence brought light to every room she entered.

Predeceased by her eldest daughter, Rosemarie. Catalina was a devoted mother who is survived by Julie-Ann, Perfector Jr., Cynthia, Josephine, May, Jacqueline, and Trankie. Catalina is also reunited in heaven with her late husband, Perfecto.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
