In memory of

Carol Julia Langdon

March 13, 1929 -  August 11, 2017

It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our mother, Carol Julia Langdon on Friday August 11, 2017 peacefully surrounded by her children. Carol is pre-deceased by her husband Bob (1999). Loving mother to Karen (Dave) and Wayne (Robin). Loving grandmother and great grandmother to Trina (Josh), Michael (Sarah) Kevin, Brian, Jason, Bria and Brooklyn. Carol will be sorely missed by her sister and best friend Lillian Walker and her brother Lewis Langdon.

Carol was born in rural Newfoundland in 1929 and moved to Toronto in 1950 to get married. In 1965, along with their two children, the family moved to Richmond Hill. In later life, Carol and Bob divided their time between Richmond Hill and Botwood NFLD. Always the doting grandmother to Michael, Trina, Kevin, Brian and Jason. Carol’s great Granddaughters meant the world to her as she cherished every visit that she had with them.

Visitation will be held at Elgin Mills Funeral Centre 1591 Elgin Mills Rd, Richmond Hill 905-737-1720 on Monday August 21 from 6p.m. – 8p.m. and Tuesday August 22 from 12p.m. – 1p.m. Followed by a celebration of life service at 1p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Margaret Bahen Hopice at Southlake Hospital or to the ALS Society of Canada.

Sorry for your loss .. I worked with Carol for ten years at Hillcrest Sears. Only afterwards I found out that she was the cousin of a close friend, Betty Crompton.
May she rest in peace.
