In memory of

Carol D'Alessandro

October 23, 1954 -  January 1, 2020

Carol passed away peacefully on January 1, 2020 in Mississauga, Ontario at the age of 65 after a valiant and dignified battle with cancer. Carol (nee Garramone), born on October 23, 1954 in Toronto, Ontario, was the third of three children born to her late parents Rosa (Rose) Antonia Garramone (nee D'Alessandro) and Carl Garry (Garramone).

She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 41 years, Tony D'Alessandro, and her two brothers John Garramone (Jola) and Anthony Garramone, sister-in-law Carolyn Garramone, brothers-in-law Don D'Alessandro (Colleen), Michael D'Alessandro (Barbara), and sister-in-law Angela; proud aunt to Josette Garramone-Grey (Michael), Jennifer Garramone (Auvi), Grace, Emily, Amanda, Jason, Alisha, Rachelle and Nathan and adoring great aunt to Morgyn, Alessa, Maya, Dominic, Nicole, Claire, Kaitlyn, Dezmend and Emmett. Carol will also be missed by her many cousins and friends.

Carol was a very proud and organized person. While she spent many years working in the legal industry, she whole heartedly supported and assisted her husband in his business ventures. Some of her favourite things were taking day trips with her husband, visiting antique car shows, enjoying live theatre productions and strolling through quaint shops throughout many small towns around Ontario. Carol enjoyed getting together with friends to bake holiday treats, as well as attending extended family get-togethers with her many cousins and relatives.

Carol's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the Ian Anderson House palliative care facility for their compassion shown to her and her husband during her stay. The family also extends a special thank you to Christine Herrington for all her love, care and friendship she gave to Carol. The family will receive friends at Meadowvale funeral centre on January 7, 2020 at 9:30 am, with a celebration of life to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or Ian Anderson House would be greatly appreciated.

Our deepest condolences to Tony and to all their family members. Although it had been a few years since we saw Carol and Tony in our home, we are deeply saddened to hear of Carol’s passing this week. We will always have wonderful memories of living across the street from Carol and Tony for many years with our parties and dinners together. We actually met Carol before this when she road the Go train with Arnold every day on their way to work. She has been taken from us far too soon. We will always remember her as a strong, vivacious and outgoing lady devoted to Tony. We will miss you Carol. Love Arnold and Nancy Pilzecker
