In Loving Memory

Carmen Miranda Jones, 63, of Ajax Ontario, went to be with the Lord on June 18, 2017.

Carmen was born on May 6, 1954 in Morant Bay Jamaica to Septymus and Beryl Bailey.

Carmen married Alty Jones and three sons were born from this union. She was employed at the Whitby Shores Mental Health Centre until retirement, after 40 years. Carmen was an active member of the Pickering Pentecostal Church where she was a greeter. She loved working in the church and cherished praising the Lord. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, sister and friend, who always thought of others first.

Carmen was truly a wonderful woman who will be missed by many. She is survived by her husband Alty Jones, her children Keith and Andrew Jones, daughter in law Tinesha Jones, her granddaughter Mya Jones, her five sisters Maureen Johnson, Joyce Bailey, Barbara Bailey-Griffith, Veneta Mitchell, Deidre Bailey, her brother in law Clifford Griffith, her nieces and nephews and countless other loving family members and friends.

It is such a loss to all of us. Carmen was a lovely caring person. She worked all those years and she never got to enjoy her retirement. I will never forget her kindness, and her love for everyone. God be with you Carmen. Now you are with your son and together for eternity. My prayers are with her family.

The most caring person I've met. Had a lot of laughs together. Rest in peace. Dear girl. You were the best person I have ever worked with.
