Caesar was a friend of my family and was also my godfather. I spent quite a few happy times with him in childhood years at my parental home, and for the year after my college graduation when I had a job in Toronto. We managed to stay in touch over the years although we did not get to meet in person for the last 20 years of his life because I had moved out of the country. I will always fondly remember his wit, intelligence and style and still treasure the birthstone charm he gave me on my 5th birthday. My condolences to his family, May you rest in well-earned peace, Uncle Caesar, hope to meet you again on the other side.
