Byung Kyu Kim, 87, passed away on Saturday May, 6, 2017 at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. He was born on June 18, 1930 in Seoul, Korean to Geum Boek Kim and Ooeejahjee Park and grew up with his siblings Byung Ho Kim, Byung Soo Kim, Choon Ja Kim, Kyung Soon Kim. He graduated from a celebrated technical high school in Korea which prepared him for his career as an electrician before moving to Canada in 1974 with his wife and family. Husband to the late Kyung Soon Lee the two of them spent many years happily married with their children In Sook, In Jae, Won Jae, and Woon Jae. He is survived by his children and their families including his beloved grandchildren Jo Yung, Jo Hee, Chanda, Shara, Kyrene, Keegan, Amy, Michelle, Christian, and Olivia. As a veteran of the Korean war, Byung Kyu had many accomplishments in his lifetime.

All services will be held at York Cemetery & Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft Road. Visitation will be from 9:30- 10:30 AM and will be followed by the Funeral Service 10:30 AM- 11:30 AM. Burial service will be held after the funeral.
