In memory of

Bryant Avard Harvie

January 18, 1939 -  June 25, 2022

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 25, 2022 at Southlake hospital in Newmarket due to complications from heart surgery at the age of 83. Beloved husband of over 60 years to Sandra (Bull). Proud father of Scott (Larissa), Kent (Leslie), Mark (Christine), and Brad (Nadia). Loving Papa of Amanda, Ryan, Austin, Victoria, Bailee, and Gregory. Born January 18, 1939 in Five Mile River, Nova Scotia, where he lived until he moved with his family to Toronto at the age of 12. Bryant was a sheet metal worker with Local 30 for 25 years until he began his own successful sheet metal business for 20 years. He and Sandra lived in Willowdale for over 40 years and raised their boys there before retiring to Barrie in 2003, where he enjoyed golfing with his friends, gardening with his wife, and family get-togethers. He was a true do-it-yourself man and he took pride in everything he did. Between his witty quips, and sharp sense of humour, he truly brought a smile to everyone’s face. Cremation has taken place and there will be a private family interment. A celebration of life will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or a charity of your choice.
"Take me home, Sandy!"

Truly sorry to hear of his passing. Have known him for over 50 years since my mother married Sandra’s father in 1967. Our hearts go out to the family.

I was thinking about you last night; how you welcomed me into your family: how your potent bartending skills made me wobble: how patient and loving you were with all your grandchildren, even when Bailee picked and ate all the cherry tomatoes from your garden: how your smile lit up a room: and how you made me laugh.
You were a true patriarch and you will be missed at the head of the family table. You will never, ever be forgotten, as you will always be in my heart.
Now...FORE!
