Bruno Eduard Hesas
June 13th, 1925 - June 20th, 2020

Passed away peacefully at the age of 95 years. Predeceased by the love of his life, Edith (June 25, 2015) They were happily married for 65 years. Cherished father of Ron (Nancy), Marlene, Darlene (Eddie), and predeceased by Harry and Angie. Loving Opa of Danielle (Chris), Justine (Duncan), Kimberlee (Luc), Nicholas, Lucas and Evan. Bruno will be lovingly remembered by his extended family and many friends as the Patriarch of the family with the kindest, most generous and caring soul. He was a wonderful role model for all that knew him.

A private funeral with his immediate family will take place Friday June 26th, 2020 with a Celebration of his Life to be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank all the wonderful staff at Valleyview Long Term Care for the exceptional care and support they provided to our father since he began living there in October. In particular we would like to thank the nursing staff, Michelle, Emmi and Freddie as well as his PSW, Teresa.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre Geriatric Division, or Advent Valleyview Residence.

Opa was such an amazing guy who will leave a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was an inspiration to me in so many ways. I'll miss his voice, smile and quirky nature the most. What a guy

From my earliest childhood days until his passing, Uncle Bruno was always my favorite uncle. He was always concerned with making sure that others were being cared for: made comfortable, entertained, well fed, and glass kept full. Even when his health began to decline, and he was less able to physically ensure all our needs were being met, he would still offer us a few bars of some long-forgotten song to put a smile on our faces. He will always be missed.
