Bruce Doherty (G.U.B.) - July 22, 1956 – October 11, 2017.
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Bruce Doherty. Beloved father to Austin and Morgan, brother to Cindy, uncle to Shannon, Brodie and Melinda, and dearest friend to many. Bruce filled our hearts with love and everyone who shared in his company are amongst the most fortunate. His genuine zest for life and hearty laugh carried by an infectious bright smile touched you to your core. He was a kind, thoughtful, genuine man, who will be missed but never forgotten. Bruce’s final ride into the blue sky joins him with parents, Elizabeth and Vincent. Donations to Sick Kids Hospital appreciated in lieu of flowers. www.sickkids.ca

You always made me laugh and I loved our chats about everything. Our dual shock humour surprised people and brought out the devilishness in us both. I lost my Karaoke cherry with you !! You were there on my 1st date with Mikey ... Now my husband who I also met thru POF. Lol that sounds weird but we went to your surprise birthday on our 1st date. Gonna miss you !! xoxo 😙😙

Bruce's passing has shaken our circle to the core. I, for one, will miss that infectious grin and instant laughter that always seemed to materialize in his presence. A lot of called him "Big Daddy" and since day 1, he always made us feel so safe and loved whenever we got together. My sincere condolences to the family during this time. No words will ever truly measure your loss. I can only hope the outpouring of love you witness on Sunday will help to ease some of the pain . Love to all !
