After a courageous battle with cancer, it is with profound sadness that the family of Brian McDonald announces his passing, with his wife Renee by his side, peacefully on January 31, 2025, at the Oak Ridge Hospice in Port Perry, Ontario. Brian was 81 years old.

He was predeceased by his parents Alex McDonald, his mother Margaret Einarson, his son Douglas McDonald, his brother James McDonald and sister Joan McDonald.

Brian will be greatly missed by his brother Barret McDonald (Joan), daughter Deborah Lyver (Wayne), stepson Jason Ferris (Jenne), stepson Andre Ferris (Monique), as well as his grandchildren Ronan, Alexis, Brendan, Graham, Avery, Jaime, Jeremy, Jacob, Zachary, Abby and Jace.
