In memory of

Blagoja (Bob) Ciprovski

April 5, 1937 -  January 19, 2021

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Blagoja (Bob) Ciprovski on January 19, 2021 at the Trillium Healthcare Centre in Mississauga. Bob was 83 years old and the beloved husband of Ruza, the cherished father of Vesna (Mark) and Bobby (Laura). He was truly adored and loved by his grandchildren Jason, Lindsay, Ben, Eric and Amy. He was predeceased by his brother Zlate and lovingly remembered by his sisters Nevena, Frosa and his brother Slobodan (Lence). Also, fondly remembered by his brothers-in-law Drago (Gordana) and Duko (Luba) and his many nieces and nephews in Ontario, Serbia and Macedonia.

Bob was born in Gorna, Velkovja, Macedonia and moved to Canada with Ruza in 1964. They started their journey in Canada in Winnipeg and eventually settled in Mississauga in 1974 where they have lived for 47 years. Bob was a successful, hard working businessman running the family business with Ruza and Bobby. He grew that business into a restaurant icon in Mississauga known as Bobby’s Hideaway. His grandkids were so proud of him because of his successful business and his enormous kindness and generosity. Bob has many friends, employees and customers who adored him and he always greeted everyone with a warm welcome. Everyone enjoyed his great sense of humour, his very big heart and often enjoyed listening to his very “detailed” stories. He was always dressed very well because of his love of fine clothing and he rarely left home without a tie. Bob worked hard every day of his life until he reluctantly had to leave the restaurant this August due to his failing health. We would like to extend our deepest thanks and appreciation to all the homecare provided by the Victoria Order of Nurses (VON) and the staff at Trillium Hospital for their attentive care of Bob during the last few months.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, very few immediate family members will be able to attend the in person memorial service. We invite anyone who wishes to join the family to attend the drive through viewing at Meadowvale Funeral Centre, 7732 Mavis Road, Brampton, 905.451.3716 on Monday, January 25, 2021 from 9am until 9:45 am. As well, the family invites anyone who would like to attend the live webcast of the Funeral Service at 10:00. When on the memorial site, simply click on the link at the top of the page to view. Live stream will begin at 9:50 am.
Bob was special to so many of us and will be deeply missed. Family and friends are encouraged to sign the online guestbook and to share life stories, photos and videos. If so desired flowers may be sent to the funeral home as early as Sunday or the family is also welcoming donations to the Lung Association. The "Donations" link can be found along the top of this memorial page.

When we moved to Streetsville, Bobby’s hideaway was the first place we ate at. We always saw Bobby happily chatting to customers, and staff. When we went during the week, Bobby chatted with us a few times and shared stories of when they first opened, asked what we liked on the menu. He was warm, welcoming, kind and his diner was his baby. We heard he wasn’t feeling good this summer, and told the server to give him our best and we’d be praying for him. Bobby- thank you for welcoming us to your diner, for saying hello and being so kind and warm. May you Rest In Peace, God bless you and bless your family and loved ones in this difficult time.

Love,
Tracey O’Farrell-Fernandes and Adrian Fernandes.

My condolences to all the family from mine .
I met Bob over 35 years ago and always admired his hard work ethic !
Over the year we would see less of each other but when we did it was like we never missed a beat . He would always stop and take the time to see how I was doing and my family . He had a super kind heart and always brought a smile to my face .
You will be missed !

Mr Ciprovski was such a loving man. He and Ruza never failed to make my sister and I feel like we were apart of his family. He touched the lives of everyone he knew and I am grateful to have had him around while I was growing up. His bear hugs were one of a kind!
Sending lots of love to everyone, he will be missed greatly.
