Beverley Anne Smart

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Beverley Smart. She passed away peacefully in Port Hope with family at her side.

Beverley was the loving Mother of Cheryl (Steve), Joy, Danny, Donna and Sue (Michael). Adored by her 12 grandchildren Mark (Pam), Stephanie, Anthony, Ryan (deceased), David, Alicia, Danielle, Christopher (Jacquie), Brian, Andrew (Lisa), Austin, Aaron and 11 great grandchildren Kate, Liam, Chloe, Taylor, Angelina, Owen, Noel, Lily, Kerri, Kayden, Carson and 1 great-great grandchild on the way.
Cherished daughter of the late William and Muriel Smart of Mount Forest Ontario.

Beverley was a great fan of card games and could always be called upon to play a game of cribbage or euchre. She loved being involved with her pen pals from Centennial Public School in Georgetown. One of her biggest pleasures was being part of the St John Therapy Dog Team.

She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the LHIN organization in Halton Hills and Port Hope, the doctors and staff at Princess Margaret Hospital, Credit Valley Hospital and Georgetown District Hospital. Special thank you to Beverley’s Palliative Nurse Jennifer who became a great friend.

Beverley will be missed by her friend and companion “Buster Brown” Together they became a great certified St. John Therapy Dog Team, and spent many happy hours visiting seniors’ residences in Georgetown Ontario. A special thank you to Amy and Jeff who have adopted Buster, Beverley knows he will be in great hands.

In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the St. John Dog Therapy Program of Halton Hills or Pancreatic Cancer Canada.

A celebration of life to be held at a later date.
