In memory of

Betty Telo (nee Fong)

November 29, 2020

It is with profound sorrow that the family of Betty Telo (nee Fong) announces her sudden passing on Sunday November 29, 2020 at the age of 52.

Betty was born in 1968 in Toronto, Ontario. She obtained her BSc in Pharmacy in 1991 from the University of Toronto and spent the last 24 years in the pharmaceutical industry.

Though she loved to travel, her home and heart were in Toronto with her family, friends and her greatest pride and joy, her son Brian. She loved to cook and share her culinary creations. She was always seeking out great food experiences, be it truffle dinner parties in Toronto, learning to make pizza in Italy or navigating through alleyways in Hong Kong to find the best beef noodle soup.

Betty was a kind and generous soul who touched the lives of so many with her love and friendship. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Betty will be lovingly remembered by her son Brian; her darling Westie Aengus; her mother and father, Rebecca and James Fong; her sisters Shannah (David), Amy (Ken) and Ida (Richard); her niece and nephew, Emma and Christian in Toronto. She will be forever in the hearts of her grandmother, aunt and cousins in NYC/Texas. She will be sadly missed by the Telo Family.

She is predeceased by her grandparents in Toronto and her grandfather in NYC.

A private service was held at York Funeral Centre on Friday, December 18, 2020. The video of the livestream can be found in the media section under videos. A Celebration of Life will be held in 2021.

Contributions in memory of Betty may be made to the CURE Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis Canada, Catholic Children’s Aid Society and Sacre Coeur Catholic Church, 381 Sherbourne St, Toronto.
