Betty Sun Ngor Jew of Toronto, Canada, 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday March 23, 2017 at Bendale Acres. Born in China to Yan Hen Fuk and Cheng Yuet Kwai; she lived most of her life in Toronto.

Beloved wife of (late) Eric Kou Wah, loving mother to Kingsley (Christine), Susan (Gary), Steven (Sabine), Yanni (Rosemarie). Dear grandmother to Dorcas, Lena, Sarita, Sitara, Olivia, Elizabeth and David.

Betty was a capable and hardworking person who was always devoted to her family. She had a close circle of friends with whom she shared many happy times at Mahjong and potluck parties. Betty relished her role as eldest son's wife, often hosting the entire clan for auspicious occasions. She enjoyed making all manner of traditional Chinese dishes, including dumplings and sweets. In her working life, her sewing and embroidery talents were quickly recognized, and she was set to adorning bridal gowns. In her youth, she was never one to sit still. She was always cooking, sewing, gardening, or making something or other.

Betty will be dearly missed by friends and family alike.
