In memory of

Bernice Joan Gray

May 27, 1941 -  March 25, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother. Joan passed away peacefully on March 25th surrounded by her family. Beloved mother to Marianne (Sylvie), and Barbara (David), loving sister to Anne, cherished grandmother to Madeline, Savannah and Julia. Beloved Aunt to Phillip (Debbie), Lynne (Bill) and Chris (Dana). Loving great aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Joan was a dedicated member of the Branch 11 legion. Joan could often be seen volunteering her time selling poppies, carrying the flag during events and just helping with various tasks that needed to be done. Joan enjoyed dancing and spending time with her legion friends.

Joan’s true passion was spending time with her family. Whether it was watching her grandchildren’s activities or attending the many family dinners or holidays, she loved them all bringing lots of love and laughter to the room.

Joan always had a fun loving spirit and great laugh. We always looked forward to visiting with her on our trips back to Toronto, and catching up on the legion activities and dances. She had a zest for life! May she rest in peace.

Joan was always one to put a smile on your face, never let you dance alone and always so helpful in every way possible. I used to call Joan my Elvis loving, shimmy shaking, lady in red soprano. She knew every song. I will miss her stories of her mom and growing up in "torona", and what she learned "up north". We were danforth ladies always and forever. You will be forever missed Mrs. Joanie.
