In memory of

Bernice Helen Kotzer

December 30, 1949 -  December 28, 2017

KOTZER, Bernice H. – “I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart)….I am never without it”

Passed away suddenly at home on December 28th, just 2 days shy of her 68th birthday. She will be greatly missed by her children & best friends Michael & Julia and her grand-daughter Maeve, who meant the absolute world to her.

She was predeceased by her Parents (Mary & Peter Sr.) and a very special sister Carol (Gilbert deceased). She leaves behind 2 sisters and 2 brothers; Patsy (Matt), Peter Jr. (Rosanne), Shirley (Harry deceased) & Bob (Gloria) and many nieces and nephews.

Bernice had the unbelievable ability to make everyone who she came in contact with laugh a little harder, smile a little bigger & feel good about themselves, and therefore, will be missed by her many friends some of whom date back decades. Her hugs helped us through even the most difficult situations.

She was a master teacher who taught us all to be better people by always doing the right thing and to be happy with whom you are.  We will all miss her.

Dear Michael & Julia,
We have had a life time of great memories spent with your Mom. Her quick wit will be missed. Her chuckle and laughter will never be forgotten. Her dedication, hardwork & devotion to both of you along with Maeve was inspiring.
Our hearts are broken but, her spirit will remain with us forever.
With all our love and support.

Aunt Bernice, it is surreal to think that you were just with us on Christmas Eve and now you are gone. You have taught me that life is precious and can change in an instant without much notice at all. I know deep down that your spirit will live on and that you will continue to silently guide Michael & Julia along their life paths. Thank you for filling our family gatherings with your hearty laugh and your brutal honesty. You will forever be remembered as the loving and strong mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend that you were. Give Granny & Aunt Carol a big hug for me.
All my love, Karlee
