Rakowski, Barbara (nee Plater-Zyberk) – Passed away at Wyndham Manor, Oakville on January 5, 2024, at the age of 98. Survived by her son, Jacek (Jack) and daughter, Anna. Predeceased by her husband Tadeusz (Ted) and brothers, Andrew and Jan. Barbara was a true survivor, living through WW2, then moving to Argentina for 7 years post-war, and finally settling in Canada in 1955. She worked as a secretary at a polish trading company, as well as at a polish travel agency. Her biggest passions were her family and her love of all animals and nature.
