Basia Grzeskowiac (50) died at her home in Mississauga on May 21, 2017. Due to the untimely nature, the manner of her death is being investigated by Mississauga authorities. Basia was a VERY loving sister, mother and a friend who loved children and animals with a passion. She was prpud of her career as a Housing Superintendent and retired several years ago. She lived alone after her mother Zophia died 8 years ago.

She freely expressed her love of family life. She loved children and protected them from harm even though they were not her own. She loved innocent aninimals and always treated them with dignity and respect. Basia was a peace maker. She lived a simple life and has inhereted the special place in heaven due to her acts of kindness.

Born November 19, 1966 in Gdansk, Poland to Zofia i Marian Poniatowski , she was the beloved elder sister to Kasia Krzeminski and her brother-in-law, Robert Assaf of Chicago. She has a 24 year old daughter, Julia Grzeskowiak of Toronta who bears a strong resemblence to her mother.

Basia was a joy to be with always up for singing and dancing. She was a real lady in every sense with charm and grace and very fair of face. She loved her three pets, a faithful Dacshund Toffey and two cats Daisy and Putsey.

Basia had friends that kept her busy during the day with many visits and faithfully called her sisiter Kasia everyday. She loved the holidays and spent vacations and holidays with her family Kasia and Robert in New orleans and Chicago. She always made everyone welcome in her home.
