Barb was a lovely lady. She taught me flower arranging when we both attended Victoria Park United Church. I will always remember her many kindnesses and her loving friendship.
I met Barb at Victoria Park United Church just days after giving my heart to The Lord way back in 1985. She influenced my life so much as a young woman, wife and mother as I got to know her during prayer meetings, UCW meetings and worship services. From the beginning of our relationship it was evident that she loved Jesus!! ❤️ Barb was so very quiet - didn’t say much, but when she did I was wise to listen to her advice.
She will be missed and always remembered in love.
Sending prayers up for her dear family and friends.
Joe and Barb Evans. ❤️❤️😘😘🙏🙏

On behalf of my mother Janis Doel (who knew Barbara through family for most of her life) and myself and my husband Bob and our family, I would like to send sincerest condolences to Barbara's family. We met Barbara in recent years at family celebrations and have fond memories of those visits.
A lovely person, always a pleasure to be with.
Our uncle Mel's sister, forever a a part of our family's memories residing in our hearts.
Barbara Ortiz had a beautiful heart. She was kind and caring, compassionate and thoughtful. Always thinking of others. She would take in Heather’s friends like her own. In fact, for a while Heather’s friend Bea lived with them. Once I came along, there was always a place for me to stay too.
Last year I stayed with them for a couple of months to help them prepare for their move. In the evenings, when Heather and her mom would have a prayer time together, Barb’s prayer would always include thanks for giving Heather and me to help her. She was a woman of gratitude and she did not take her daughter or friends for granted.
I was blessed to know Barb. She was like a second mother to me.❤
