It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of Anne Sinclair. Born in Oakville to Gordon and Lillian (Bourne) Sinclair, she is a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and great-aunt.
She is the youngest and last surviving of six siblings, Ruth, Ross, William, Mary, and Douglas, and the loving mother of five Morrison children: Ross, Robert (Rebecca), Campbell (Sonia Gauthier), Jennifer and Gillian. She is the proud grandmother of nine and the great-grandmother of three, as well as the aunt and great-aunt of numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and -nephews. Anne was an accomplished pianist who enjoyed playing classical pieces for herself and others, often in hospitals and senior residences, including most recently in her final home at the Teddington Retirement Residence.
She passed away peacefully on October 25 surrounded by her children at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. She led a full life as a teacher and nurse in Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal, specializing in psychiatric nursing up until her retirement.
A Celebration of Life will be held on November 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre at 375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto, Ontario. The internment will follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).
