Balchan Boodoo was the patriarch of the Boodoo family. He was a man of admirable courage, determination and strength. From humble beginnings, our father worked against all odds to create opportunities for himself and for his family. As an upstanding pillar within his community he was highly respected and well known as a kind and generous man who supported his neighbors and friends. He was lovingly known as Mr. Boodoo.

Mr. Boodoo passed peacefully from this life on the morning of December 3, 2016. He enjoyed a long and happy life, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Boodoo was born in Trinidad and Tobago where he and his wife raised their eight children. He moved to Canada in 2003 and enjoyed the remainder of his life close to his family.

Mr. Boodoo is survived by his eight children (and spouses): Kim (Deokie), David (Ramdaye), Florie, Michael (Roma), Gloria (Johnathan), Rawle (Amoy), Ricky (Chandini), Rudy (Anna-Pearl); nineteen grandchildren: Joey, Rennie, Andy, Evelyn, Trevor, Jennie, Billy, Wesley, Maurisa, Kendell, Junior, Tamsyn, Duran, Brandon, Shannon, Ryan, Christian, Julie and Carlene; eleven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Mr. Boodoo is also survived by his sister Bhagmoon and his cousin Sonny. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Baby Boodoo.

Today we celebrate Pa’s life as he joins Ma in peaceful eternity.
