In memory of

Aurora Pineda

November 23, 1928 -  May 10, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved matriarch, Aurora “Ima” Castro Pineda, on May 10, 2025 in Scarborough, Ontario. Born on November 23, 1928 in Clark Field, Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines, Ima was a pillar of strength, grace, and unwavering faith over her 96 years of life, and a true mother figure to all who knew her.

A devoted deaconess and long-standing member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo, Ima’s life was defined by her active service, compassion, and boundless generosity. Her faith was her foundation and her kindness touched everyone blessed to know her.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Adoracion “Baby” (Erdie) and Daye (Ferdie) and is deeply missed by her grandchildren: Randy, Beejay (Mary Anne), Marc, Joy (Bryon), Darwin (Jackie), and Kevin (Elyssa). Her legacy lives on through her great-grandchildren: Ava, Ian, Noah, Xavier, and Elodie. She is now resting peacefully with her beloved husband Ruben and her daughter and son-in-law, Celia and Robert.

Ima’s vivacious laugh, warmth, and deeply caring nature will be profoundly missed. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she loved.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
- 2 Timothy 4:7 (NKJV)

I am forever grateful to have a second Mom-Ima! She was a doting Ima, loving, caring, thoughtful, generous and have a strong Faitb in God! She took care of me growing when my Mom left. I never felt alone and I felt complete bcoz Ima. Bapa, Baba, Boss and Ate Daye Daye are there with me!
It pains me that I never got the chance to talk, hug and kiss her before she left. I wanted to pay my last respect and fly all the way to Canada but my passport was expired. 💔😭
Ima. You will always be in my heart. I will never forget all the life lessons you though me. All the advice you've given me now that am older and wiser. I will miss you and I love you... till we meet again...💔😪😭😪
