my grandmother was a beautiful woman. She loved to look pretty and she took pride in how she looked.
My "nanny" as my brother and I called her spent many days watching over my brother and I as we were growing up. She especially enjoyed taking us to her cottage and making sure we always had a salmon or tuna sandwich for lunch!

She took pride in her home where she lived for 68 years! wow! she also volunteered her hours at the local school near by helping with lunch duty and never missed an episode of "General Hospital", both grandma and I loved to watch scary or thriller type movies together, she was never scared even though I was!
I am going to miss you dear nanny as you always cared so deeply and worried about us with so much love. We cannot image a day without going to Toronto and visiting you while we are there.
You were totally independent until two weeks until the day you died at age 89. No walker and no help! you truly inspire me as a woman. Love you lots
