In memory of

Arvo Teet Reitav

August 25, 1961 -  June 18, 2016

REITAV, Arvo -- Arvo was fondly known as the "Gentle Giant". He enjoyed discussions about jazz music, baseball, food and wine (not necessarily in that order). He particularly enjoyed savouring his meals and talking with friends and family. He was known for his command of facts and sports information and he was always in a good mood.
To get a good picture of Arvo's energetic spirit, and his life's travel from boy to man, be sure to look through the photos (click the Photos tab above) compiled by his twin brother Erik.
Arvo was the beloved son of Adele and the late Martin Reitav. He was the dear twin brother of Erik Reitav, and younger brother of Riina Hess and Jaan Reitav. He was the dearly loved uncle of 7 nieces and nephews and great uncle of 10.
Arvo passed away on June 18, 2016 at the age of 54. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29th at 1 pm at St. Peter's Estonian Lutheran Church. The funeral service begins at 2 pm.
St. Peter Lutheran Church is at 817 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Peter's Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church of Toronto.

We are in shock at the untimely passing of a lovely man. Always upbeat, he wore his passions on his sleeve, ready to discuss in minute and exquisite detail. You'd never win a trivia contest against him!
We will miss Arvo.

Arvo, I am still in shock and truly saddened about your passing. I thought we were going to Buffalo for the wings festival someday. I know you are in heaven smiling down on all of us. You always had such a big heart and will always be remembered in my heart, dear friend. Thanks for all the great conversations/epiphanies about life and sports. I will miss you, Arvo.
