In memory of

Arturs Kesteris

June 17, 1925 -  February 27, 2019

Arturs Ķesteris, born in Alūksne, Latvia on June 17, 1925. Son of Aleksandrs Elmārs Ķesteris and Minna Emīlija Ķesteris (née Redmans). Brother of Roberts (deceased 1943).
As a refugee, having survived the horrors of World War II, including the Nazi and Soviet occupations of Latvia, from the Displaced Persons Camp Valka in Bavaria, Arturs made his way to Australia with his loving wife Biruta and son Andris.

From Australia, the family moved to Montreal, the birthplace of their son Robert.
In Montreal, Arturs graduated from Sir George Williams University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and had a successful career in lithography. Eventually moving to Richmond Hill, Ontario, he continued his chosen career until retirement.

Arturs selflessly lived for his family and his community.
He is remembered in loving memory by sons Andris, Robert (Karen) and grandchildren Nicole (Michael) and Ryan.

Mana dziļākā līdzjūtība Jums un brāļa ģimenei.

Gribu minēt, ka man bij prieks apciemot Jūsu vecākus viņu vasarnicā kopā ar
Viju Jomu. Mūs abas Jūsu vecāki mīļi uzņēma un jauki pavadijām saulainu dienu.
Dažreiz nevajag ilgu pazīšanos, lai cilvēki paliktu mīļā atmiņā.

Līdzjūtībā, Aija.
