Zone, Arnold
August 18, 1926 – March 9, 2019

With great sadness we announce the sudden and peaceful death of Arnold Zone on March 9th 2019, at the age of 92. Loving husband to the late Rasma Zone, caring father to the late Linda North and brother to the late Ilga Lehman. Arnold will be greatly missed by his daughter Sandra Zone Gall, her husband Dale Gall, and daughter Jazmin Gall. He will also be mourned by his son-in-law Rod North, and grandsons Johnathon and Andrew North, along with many extended family and friends. Arnold was born in Daugavpils Latvia, and after the war immigrated to Canada in 1950. Arnold and Rasma were both very active volunteers within the Latvian Centre in Scarborough. Arnold loved to be surrounded by his family and friends, including four-legged furry friends. He had a passion for education in computers, photography, electronics and enjoying life everyday. He lived by his motto, “If your name is in the book, it’s in the book (of life)”. He practiced this by living a very active life right until the end. A celebration of life will be held on May 11th 2019, at York Funeral Centre, Toronto; visitation at 13:00, and service at 14:00 and reception to follow.
