We sadly announce the passing of Anthony (Antonios) Zacharopoulos, 96 years old, of Markham, Ontario, Canada, loving husband of Erasmia Zacharopoulos (nee Panagopoulos), father to Vivian, Lina and Toula and grandfather to Ethan, Mia, and Anastasia on January 28th, 2026 in Markham, Ontario.

Anthony was born in Ekklisoula, Megalopolis, Greece on September 8th, 2026 to the parents of Dimitrios and Vasiliki Zacharopoulos (nee Panagopoulos), eldest of three children, two departed sisters, Katina and Hrisoula. He is remembered by all family as a quiet, gentle, private and sensitive man, who had a good sense of humour and would help someone in need when he was able to do so.

He will be sincerely missed by all family and friends, for his gentle and warm presence, quiet strength, his ability to keep one’s confidence and listen, and his tender and kind spirit and smile shall remain as an eternal memory.

May his memory be eternal, and spirit rest in peace.
