In memory of

Anne "Annie" Geraldine Prucha

November 18, 1936 -  January 8, 2018

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our mother Anne. Wife of 48 years to our father Sidney. Mother of Joanne (Jay), John (Denise), Jennifer (Peter), and Paul. Remembered by niece Betsy, brother Peter (Margaret) and many nieces and nephews.

Her grandchildren were held very close to her heart and will miss Babi's wide smile, tight hugs, and funny stories- Alex, Sydney, Jack, Matthew, Chris, Magda and Tomas.

In recent months she grew to enjoy her new home at Retirement Suites By the Lake which meant she stayed in the Beaches that was very important to her. She enjoyed great food, interesting friends, song, laughter, and many walks in the gardens of Rosetta Stone. Her door was constantly revolving with visiting friends and family, taking her out shopping, out to restaurants, and to movies. She willingly remembered family stories and adventures with incredible detail, memories so strong of our family’s rich past.

She also had a special place in her heart for Father John Newton and the parish at St. John’s Church. He liked to call Annie his angel.

Her many interests included reading, painting, travel (NOT skiing!), dogs, babies, movies, opera, and sunny days on the island in Muskoka.

She was taken far too soon from all of us. There are no words to say how much she will be missed.

We love you Mom.

Joanne, the more enriched a person makes our lives, the harder it is for us to let them go. For this reason, I know that saying goodbye to your mother will be the hardest sorrow to bear. I hope that your memories and your family will help support you in this time of sorrow.
