Anne-Marie Rose Mitchell

May 2, 1960 -  March 25, 2024

Anne-Marie Mitchell was born on May 2, 1960 in Kingston, Jamaica. Her parents were Allan and Miriam Mitchell. She had two sisters and four brothers. She moved to Toronto as a young person and graduated as valedictorian from Overlea Secondary School. She studied for two years at the University of Toronto. She worked for a few years as a retail sales clerk at Simpsons before beginning her career at Canadian Blood Services. After working for two years in the clinics, she became a lab technician. By the time she retired in 2022, she had worked for 36 years at Canadian Blood Services. In January, 2001 she married Andrew Morrison. She was diagnosed with endometrial cancer in December, 2023. Unfortunately, the cancer was too advanced for surgery and she died on March 25, 2024. She is survived by her husband Andrew and by a sister and three brothers: Gloria, Hugh, Danny and Ruddy.
