It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Angela Elizabeth Svelnis, who left us on December 1st, 2025, at the age of 61.
Born in Toronto on November 13, 1964, Angela will be remembered for her kindness, her generosity, and her love for her three dogs—Brooklyn, Levi, and River. She was a proud and lifelong fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, and she worked with the organization during their historic back-to-back World Series years.
Angela gave countless hours to the East York Hockey community, where she worked for decades. She was proudly known as the scorekeeper for the Bulldogs, a role she carried out with dedication and joy.
Angela leaves behind her three siblings: Joseph Svelnis; Jeannette Kozovski (Mike); and Andrew Svelnis (Tracey). She will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews: Stephen and Lisa Kozovski; Robert and Megan Svelnis; Beth Svelnis; Cameron Mackay and Emily Sneyd.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, December 7th, 2025, from 1 – 3 p.m. at Pine Hills Funeral Centre and Cemetery.
Angela’s warmth, compassion, and love for those around her will never be forgotten.
