Anastase (Tasso) Demopoulos

July 19, 1939 -  July 12, 2022

It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of Anastase Tasso Demopoulos, of Toronto, Canada on July 12, 2022, at the age of 82.

Born in Gargaliani, Greece on July 19, 1939, Anastase emigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1967, where he became a pillar of the Greek Community for several decades. Anastase led and contributed to a number of Greek-Canadian cultural, political and sports organizations. He endeared himself to many with his big heart, generosity and kindness.

Anastase will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Angelique Demopoulos, his twin boys Constantinos and Eleftherios Demopoulos, his four grandchildren Kiki, Kian, Tasso and Timothy and his siblings Chrissa, Katerina and Dimitrios.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the kind and dedicated doctors and staff of Michael Garron Hospital.

A Memorial service is to be held at The Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Road, on Wednesday, July 20th, beginning at 2 PM.
