Amrowti Basdeo (a-k Dorothy), age 83 of Georgetown, Guyana, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018. Born on July 14, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ramsaywack Singh of Alexander Village, and wife of the late Motilall Jodha of Mahaica, Guyana.

Dorothy was the loving mother of eight children- Nalini, Carmen, Pollydutt, Leila, Kumar, Ousha, Mohini and Dinanauth (deceased), and wonderful grandmother to Kamini, Kavita, Sabrina, Shivon, Fiona and Adel. She was a caring and thoughtful mother who always had a gentle manner and loving wishes for her family and friends.

For those who have known Dorothy in her fruitful journey with us, her services will be held at Meadowvale Funeral Centre. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 28, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and funeral will be held on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 9:00 am. The family wishes to thank those who have extended their condolences during this difficult time.
