Amit Mitra passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Sunday, October 1, 2023. Amit was survived by his two loving children, Suzanne, and Andrew, and fondly remembered by his five grandchildren, Jessica, Russell, Nicholas, Christian, and Andrew. He also was loved by Justin (nephew), who was family Amit met along the way.

Amit worked for Bell Canada for over 35 years and was a very active volunteer with various groups at Our Lady of Fatima parish, including St. Vincent de Paul, ushering every Sunday as well as counting church offerings. Amit’s memory will forever live in our hearts. We have known his love and warmth that he has shared with us all.

The Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima – 3170 St. Clair Avenue East on October 13, 2023, commencing at 11:00 am, followed by the graveside committal at Pine Hill Cemetery – 625 Birchmount Road. Refreshments will be served back at the church after the proceedings.
