Amelia Rose Downton (nee Wilfong), loving mother, wife, daughter, grand daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, God-mother, friend and confidant left us earth side Sunday, June 9, 2024 to watch over her loved ones from above.

Amelia, affectionately referred to as Amy by most, began her life on August 8th, 1989 to loving parents Dan and Bonnie. Raised in Scarborough, Amy shared her childhood with sister Danielle surrounded by friends, cousins and summers in British Columbia until she planted her small town roots in Petawawa, Ontario with the love of her life, Michael Downton.

Amy is survived by her greatest legacy, her children James and Scarlett Downton who were her absolute world. They will always feel their Mothers love and guidance, this is absolute.

Amy loved her children, family and friends unconditionally. She never missed an opportunity to show kindness and was thoughtful to a fault. The love she poured into the world is being returned to us as we begin to process the greatest loss imaginable.

We miss her laugh, her smile, her FaceTime calls and hugs. We long for her every minute but know that she walks beside all who were lucky enough to love her.

We ask you to pay kindness forward in honour of our sweet Amy. Do good, speak kindly, smile and wave whenever possible. We’ll love you always.
