In memory of

Amanda Dellapenta

March 4, 1985 -  February 24, 2020

Amanda Dellapenta passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on February 24th, 2020 at 34 years old. But she would want us to tell you that she fell from an aerial silk. Amanda was born on March 4th, 1985 at Women's College Hospital in Toronto to Tony and Phyllis Dellapenta.

Although born with a rare disease, called Fanconi Anemia, which she survived by undergoing a successful bone marrow transplant at 9 years old, Amanda's childhood was blessedly normal: She went to school, she made friends, she played, she laughed, she cried, and she loved. She graduated from high school and went on to obtain a university degree in nursing as well as a degree in teaching—all things you'd expect from a beautiful, smart, and down-to-earth woman.

But it was up in sky where Amanda found her true passion in life. From gymnastics to power tumbling to cheerleading to circus-ing to stunting, Amanda had a fascination with being in the air, whether she was jumping there, climbing there, or being thrown there. She started her own circus business with a close friend, and she performed dancing and aerial acrobatics at weddings, parties, events, banquets and more. At the same time, Amanda became a stunt double (for child actors, of course!), performing in several Hollywood films, including The Christmas Chronicles, IT: Chapter 2, Shazam!, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

Amanda truly lived her life to the fullest. She made a huge impact on everyone she met with her infectious smile, her positivity, and her joy of life in everything she did. An angel on Earth, Amanda is now an angel in Heaven, and she will watch over us all, as she continues to soar through the sky.

Amanda is survived by her parents Tony and Phyllis, her sister Stephanie (Marko), her brothers Adam (Gillian) and Paul (Lindsay), and her niece Emma Grace. Amanda will be fondly remembered by her extended family and friends.

Family and friends can be received at Meadowvale Funeral Centre, 7732 Mavis Road ( Mavis Road & 407) on Sunday March 08, 2020 from 12:00 - 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of Amanda's life will be held at 4:00 p.m.
