DYCE, Alton Lloyd
Passed away unexpectedly at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Monday, December 9, 2019 at the age of 55. Loving partner of Velma Mattar. Loving son of Inez Brooks (late Constantine Dyce). Beloved dad of Romario, Nicholi, Duran and Makedah. Adored grandfather. Cherished brother of Merrick, Debbie and Antoinette. Alton will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and many, many friends. He will be forever remembered for his great sense of humour, his easy going nature and his ability to “speak his mind”. He will be dearly missed by all who knew this great man. Friends may call at THORNTON CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, (South of Taunton Road and off of Dryden Blvd, 905-579-6787) on Sunday December 29, 2019 from 10 am until time of Funeral service in the Chapel at 1 pm. Dyce was an inspiration to me as a young yute in Jamaica. I was feeling “love” and had no clue what the hell I was getting myself into and he was there to offer guidance and support. As you go through life and experience different things, there are people along your journey that you will never forget based on what they represented to your life and for me Dyce was one of those very significant persons.
