To the entire Mason family,

Please accept the deepest condolences from Davina and me. We were heartbroken to hear about the passing of Mr. Mason.

Mr. Mason wasn’t just my dad’s best friend — he was a true pillar in my life. The Mason boys and the Upton boys grew up side by side, and even though time and life have taken us all in different directions, those early years bonded us like family. And that’s what we’ll always be — extended family, no matter what.

I’ll never forget that Mike stood beside me as my best man, and Mr. Mason stood at the front as our MC. That day was just one of many where your family helped shape mine.

I never called him Al — he was always Mr. Mason to me. He helped raise me, and I will miss him deeply.

With love and sympathy,
Brad & Davina

We lived next door to Al and Donna for 30 years, and couldn't have asked for better neighbours. And it would be impossible to find anyone disagreeing with that statement. Shared rounds of golf and a few cocktails with Al over those years. A memory that still brings a smile to my face is one that reminds me why I love Summer. On rare occasion, Al and Donna would appear on their porch, drinks in hand and music blaring from the house. They just refused to acknowledge any aging process. Rest easy, my friend. Crank up the tunes and pour a stiff one.
