Alireza Manafizaher, “Ray”, age 53 passed away peacefully the 25th of September, 2021. Alireza was born to two loving parents and five loving sisters in Tehran, Iran, December 31st, 1967; and despite “Alireza” being a common name, this Alireza in particular was very special. Throughout his life in Iran, he was very athletic - hiking mountains, camping, sprinting, and more. As a teen, he began discovering his love for arts and by the age of 16, he even taught calligraphy to older people. At that point, Alireza knew he would want to pursue an artistic career. As he matured, his passion for art grew, prompting him to work as a set designer for his sister, Farahnaz’, films. In his early 20s, Alireza came to Canada to start his new life. He worked many trades until he finally settled on studying design at George Brown College, where he would soon meet Siana Pratiwi, the future mother of his two children. With a lot of love, hope, and support from friends and family, he started his print shop in 2007. Not only was he a proud business owner, but he was an equally great man. Alireza dreamed of going back to Iran, reuniting his family, and hiking the mountains once again, but unfortunately was not able to. However, his legacy will be fulfilled by his son, Adel, his daughter, Anahita, and his loving friends and family. May he rest in love and peace.
